Nothern Sky

Inserisco il testo di una canzone di Nick Drake, cantautore inglese nato in Birmania alla fine degli anni 40'. Non credo sia molto conosciuto anche perchè non ha prodotto numerosi album: è stato trovato morto a 28 anni per overdose di tryptizol; l'ho scoperto volendo ripescare a tutti i costi quel magnifico giro di chitarra alla fine del film "Serendipity", per intenderci quello delle occasioni, del destino e i fortunati incidenti con John Cusack e Kate Beckinsale. Proprio mentre lui sconsolato si sdraia pensoso sullo skaten rink di Rockfeller a NY, Nick Drake attacca con il suo motivo. Dolce, carico di malinconia nel ritmo e nella voce. Malinconia autoprodotta, per il piacere di sentirsi tristi in modo dolce, secondo il pensiero dei Romantici. Nick Drake si ispira molto a questo periodo artistico ma è affascinato anche dal simbolismo e le sue canzoni, questa è solo un esempio, sono cariche di figure simboliche spesso riferite alla natura, come il vento ed il cielo, la luna, la brezza, il mare che celano significati molto più profondi.
